Commercial collection involves collecting money on business-to-business debts. Laws governing commercial collections differ greatly from collecting from an individual. A credit bureau maintains records of financial payment histories, public record data, and personal identification. The collection of information is used by creditors to determine applicant's credit worthiness. You may choose to report or not report your accounts to the credit bureau. At no cost to you, Allied Collection Service, Inc. reports monthly to the three major credit bureaus: Trans Union, Experian, and Equifax.
Debt can only be collected if we know where the consumer is located. Our staff has access to the most comprehensive up-to-date resources available to our industry. Information obtained is then analyzed and verified to assist in the recovery process.
A proof of claim is a written statement filed by a creditor and describes the reason a consumer owes the creditor money. An electronic proof of claim is filed by our staff once the bankruptcy has been verified. Allowing our staff to assist you with this obligation will prevent you from being left out of any distribution of funds.
Upon confirmation of a consumer's death, our collectors will verify with the court if an estate exists. A claim is filed against the open estate within the allotted time period.
When a consumer moves to a state that Allied Collection Service is not licensed to collect in, their account is reviewed by the collection supervisor for forwarding. Accounts are forwarded to an agency located in the consumer's state of residence. All forward agencies we utilize are members of ACA International.
